As a DIYer, part of the beauty of 'doing it yourself' is seeing something transform before your eyes. Often times that transformation requires days or weeks, and sometimes months. On the other hand, sometimes a transformation happens right before your eyes thanks to a can of spray paint. Spray paint is the closest thing to magic I've found. There is a huge array of colours to choose from, matte or glossy finishes, and even metallic. My personal favourite is gold. A little gold spray paint goes a long way to dress things up. If you've got a few minutes, here are five fun items to whip out the spray paint for. In a few quick coats and not much effort you'll witness a magical transformation right in front of your eyes. If you've got (or find at a yard sale) an old chandelier in need of some love, spray paint is a great solution! Or what about a mirror in need of some glam? This mirror (found on the side of the road! love when that happens!) looks amazing in gold. I go on regular hikes with our dogs and love seeing the changes throughout the seasons. A few years ago I gathered up some lovely birch branches and spray painted them gold. They are one of my favourite and most versatile décor items! In spring they are usually decorated with small birds and butterflies, which is definitely my favourite! Originally black, these candle holders in our guest room provide a much subtler delight now that they are gold. And with Christmas coming, if you have old nutcrackers needing some love gold is the perfect solution! What are some of the projects spray paint has solved in your life?
