Before the DIY.

Materials

• Dresser
• Sandpaper
• Primer
• Paintbrush
• Semigloss latex paint
• Mirror
• Mirror adhesive

• Wallpaper
• Wallpaper adhesive
• Smoothing brush
• Brass knobs

Instructions
1 Prep the dresser with a thorough cleaning, sanding and priming.

2 Paint the trim and the interior of the dresser using three coats of semigloss latex in the colour of your choice (we used Debbie Travis Paint Collection’s Dramatic Teatro Verde).

3 To give the cabinet some added sparkle, have a local glazier cut pieces of mirror to fit the shelf and back of the top section; secure the pieces with mirror adhesive.

4 Measure and cut the wallpaper to fit each surface section, carefully matching the pattern across the drawers and doors. Apply the pieces to the dresser using wallpaper adhesive, then smooth out any air pockets using a smoothing brush.

5 Add brass knobs to complete the look.
