upholstery up-cycled artwork

A wood board, that was lying around my apartment and taking up space, was given new life with an easy peas-y upholstery up-cycle project! I'm a huge fan of Amy Butler's intricate fabric designs and couldn't resist snatching up a metre of one of her floral patterns on sale at Mitchell Fabrics, a local fabric shop out here in Winnipeg! The pattern's vintage style suits my living room decor perfectly and it's bold colour palette was just what my neutral, unadorned wall needed. A few staples later and I had highly personalized art for under 30 dollars! It hangs beautifully above my richly hued sofa and pulls out the colours of pillows and accessories scattered throughout the space. Now, it's your turn to inspire. What is your fav DIY art project?
