4 Powder Rooms That Makes A Statement

We love a powder room that makes a statement. These four little gems show you how to create big impact in your home’s smallest room.

Dreamy drama

Sophisticated and mysterious, this stunning space evokes an atmospheric film noir feel. The ultra-chic wallpaper is matched in glamour by the marble-topped vanity. Subtle shimmer in the wallpaper and finishes make a sultry impression and complement the room’s dark allure.

GLAM ADDITION

Designer Jodie Rosen and her team tweaked the floor plan of a Toronto condo, which hadn’t included a powder room, to create this elegant space. “I wanted this room to be ‘a moment,’” she says. “It’s really dark and moody.” Wallpaper wraps the entire room, even concealing touch-latch doors that open for storage. It’s a dramatic backdrop for the walnut ledge, which hides new plumbing, and the work-of-art sink, which is a solid piece of marble with an integrated matte-gold towel holder. Discreet gold sconces add to the glamorous mood.

Want to bring Beverly Hills home? Start with a large-scale palm-frond wallpaper from Versace, add marble, then a flash of gold at the faucet, in the mirror frame and accessories – and voilà. This powder room gets its star power from big and bold statements: note the oversize drawer pulls on the vanity, and the striking swirly pendant.

To single out this little, mostly white room, the designer added ornate marble wall tiles with diagonal brass inserts, which energize the space. A mix of gold and matte chrome finishes reflect the light and play off the grey veining and gold inserts on the wall tile.
