5 Of Our Favourite Fall-Inspired Homes
Autumnal decor and earthy hues make these homes the place to be in the fall.
Autumn is the perfect time to bring the outdoors in. Warm sunset colours, soft textures, and pops of seasonal fun celebrate the season.
These homes effortlessly combine year-round comfort with our favourite parts of fall.
1. Rural roots
Photography by GAP Interiors | Design by Carolyn Wilbrink
This 1843 Gothic Revival farmhouse in Bural, Ont., took three years to update. Numerous clues to designer Carolyn Wilbrink’s farming heritage are visible throughout, including old milk bottles from her grandfather’s dairy and the dining room barn door, which her dad salvaged from their old calf barn before the farm was torn down.
2. warm finishes

“I focused on clean lines to keep it fresh, but chose finishes with a lot of warmth,” says designer Elyssa Maldoff.
3. Lakeside views
Photography by Patrick Biller | Design by Candace Plotz
“Playing off the contemporary lines of the structure, I layered in warmth with soft furnishings and a colour palette inspired by the lakeside setting,” says designer Candace Plotz. In the fall, the surrounding trees turn vibrant shades of orange and red.
4. Down-to-earth hues

This earth-toned cottage isn't set on a shoreline, but it offers something more special: a breathtaking mountain view that on clear days stretches all the way to Vermont.
5. Mid-century modern farmhouse
