This past long weekend officially welcomed EQ3 to Toronto's historic Liberty Village neighbourhood. The opening of this showroom not only celebrates EQ3's flagship location in the city, but also the launch of their Marimekko shop-in-shop exclusive to this location. Set in a heritage building, the modern furniture and vibrant Marimekko fabric stands out against the original brick interiors in this two-storey space. The store launch was marked by a ceremonial ribbon cutting, courtesy of EQ3 President and CEO Peter Tielmann (pictured above) and Senior Director of Wholesale for Marimekko North America Paula Nikkanen. Along with EQ3's usual offering of modern, Canadian-made upholstered furniture, manufactured in Winnipeg, Manitoba, they have also teamed up with Marimekko to provide a shop-in-shop of beautiful, bright fabric options. Not only can you buy Marimekko printed decor accessories, such as throw pillows, curtains, mugs and teapots, but you can also select fabric to create custom made upholstered pieces. Now for some real eye candy! Here are some of my favourite spaces from the showroom, just a peek at what you can look forward to on your next shopping trip. What's your favourite part of EQ3's new store?
