sneak peek: cb2 coming to toronto

It has been a long time coming now, but it's worth the wait! Though CB2 was supposed to arrive this summer, it hasn't officially landed in Toronto yet... BUT they did share a sneak peek with us last night! True to CB2 form they brought their signature modern designs, showcasing pieces that add function and comfort to your home, with that perfect pop of colour. So, friends, want the inside scoop?? Here's a preview of what's to come and, of course, the all-important when and where! Colourful pops! CB2 has fantastic modern pieces that easily fit into that chic urban lifestyle that is undeniably growing in Toronto. The furniture has a simple, sleek look, making it easy to accessorize with colour and patterns. I absolutely love the blue pops in the nesting table and bar cart! Countless cushions Speaking of accessories, the cushions come in a variety of colours, prints and textures. Considering the clean, straight lines of the furniture, I'm excited to see how the cushions will be displayed in the store. They add so much personality and style to the overall decor. Revamping old styles The rug's pattern is actually tie-dyed, making each one slightly different from the next. And check out that chair! CB2 is making butterfly chairs super chic with raw leather and hand-stitched leather trim. It's a new take on the leather club chair and will only look better with age. Keeping it multi-functional I love when pieces serve more than one function. The ottoman above can be used for extra seating, as a coffee table, or both! It's about twice the size than what's shown in the photo and comes with the green tray. Keep drinks on one side and have a seat on the other. Also, you can pull the side table in, close to the couch, to work on your laptop. One of a Finds Adding unique or original pieces to your decor really make it feel like your space. Unfortunately, we can't all travel the world looking for unique products not found in our hometown mall. Fortunately, CB2 has their " One of a Find" project. On travels to find new products and trends, CB2 is always on the look out for a one-of-a-kind find with a story. They only have a limited number of each find so once they sell out, they're gone (making them all the more tempting to buy!). CB2 meets Dwell Though I fell in lust with almost everything, this parlour chair had my eye from the moment I walked in. Maybe it's the pattern. Maybe it's the colour. Or maybe it's the collaboration between two of my great loves - CB2 and Dwell Studio. This exclusive prism pattern from Dwell makes this chair an absolute knockout! This is just a fraction of what will be at the new Toronto store so be sure to check out the grand opening on November 12, 2011 at 651 Queen St. West!
