Indulge with this perfectly comforting winter drink.
- 1 vanilla bean
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1 cup 35% cream
- 4 oz best-quality white chocolate, finely chopped
- ¾ cup brewed espresso coffee
- 2 oz brandy
- Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish.
1 Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Combine the vanilla bean, vanilla seeds, milk and cream in a stainless-steel saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
2 Remove from heat, take out the vanilla bean and whisk in the chocolate, espresso and brandy.
3 Pour the mixture into warm mugs and top with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and extra shavings of chocolate.
