Materials

  • exacto knife
  • 11" x 7" blue card stock (folded in half)
  • scissors
  • laser-cut snowflake paper
  • turquoise glitter paper
  • transparent tape
  • silver glitter dome stickers
  • glue stick
  • 5½" x 7" blue card stock (extra piece)

Directions
1
Using an exacto knife, cut out a 3" x 4½" opening centred on the front of the folded card stock. Cut the snowflake paper and glitter paper to half an inch larger than the opening on all sides.

2 Layer the snowflake paper over the glitter paper and attach with transparent tape at the edges. The piece should be large enough so that you don’t see the taped edges when the papers are placed behind the opening.

3
Tape to the inside of the frame. Embellish with glitter dome stickers. Glue the extra piece of card stock to the inside front of the card (to hide the taped papers).

Materials
  • 7½" x 10" white card stock (folded in half)
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • glue stick
  • 8½" x 11" blue card stock (folded in half)
  • silver glitter dome stickers
  • silver glitter glue

Directions
1
Using the fold of the white card stock as the centre of the tree, with a pencil, draw half of a triangle, starting just a few millimetres from the top and ending about an inch from the bottom at a width of about 2".

2 Divide the triangle into four horizontal sections and draw a wavy line at each mark. Using scissors, cut along each line. Open and flip the tree shape inside out, reinforcing the fold along the edges so the four sections point
outwards.

3 Using the glue stick, mount this piece onto the blue card stock. Use glitter dome stickers and glitter glue to decorate the tree. Let the glitter glue dry completely before closing the card.

  • black adhesive vinyl (available at art supply stores)
  • 5½" x 12" grey card stock (folded in half)
  • red glitter dome sticker

Directions
1 Using a pencil, trace the reindeer template onto a piece of adhesive vinyl (adhesive paper provides a cleaner finish than if you were to glue it).

2 Affix the vinyl to the front of the folded card stock. Finish with a glitter dome sticker for the nose.

Materials (top left)
  • pencil
  • magnolia-leaf template
  • green construction paper (2 shades)
  • scissors
  • 6½" x 11" white card stock (folded in half)
  • glue dots
  • self-adhesive rhinestones

Directions
1
Using a pencil, trace the magnolia-leaf template onto two shades of green construction paper (we used about 50 leaves). Using scissors, cut out the leaves and fold each one in half lengthwise to create dimension.

2 Draw a 3½" square centred on the front of the folded card stock. Layer the magnolia leaves to form a wreath, attaching the leaves with glue dots in alternating directions to create a full, lush effect. Adorn the wreath with self-adhesive rhinestones.

Materials (poinsettias card)

  • red and pink construction paper (3 of each colour)
  • pencil
  • petal template
  • scissors
  • glue dots
  • self-adhesive rhinestones
  • solid and patterned green ribbon
  • 7" x 11" white card stock (folded in half)

Directions
1
Fold a square piece of construction paper in half twice. Using a pencil, trace the petal template onto the construction paper (the base of the petal should be along the folded edges of the construction
paper).

2 Using scissors, cut out the petal, leaving the folded corner uncut. Open to yield a flower shape. Repeat two more times to make one flower. Fold each petal inward to create dimension. Using glue dots, layer and secure the petals on top of one another, rotating to create the shape of the flower.

3 Affix a grouping of three self-adhesive rhinestones in the centre of the flower. Repeat to create the second poinsettia, varying the size. To make the leaves, use solid and patterned green ribbon for pretty pattern and texture.

4 Attach the ribbon and paper poinsettias to the card stock with glue dots.
