Materials
Primary wallpaper (1 to 2 rolls will cover a modest-sized wall)
Secondary wallpaper in different colourway
Picture frames with hanging hardware
Tools
Wallpaper paste and brush
Plastic float
Blue painter’s tape
Pencil
Utility knife
How-to
1 Apply paste and hang your primary wallpaper, if it isn’t already installed.
2 Use blue painter’s tape to temporarily tack up a sheet of the secondary paper where you want to place the frame, making sure to match up the pattern with the primary paper.
3 Hold the frame backing up on the wall and trace around it with a pencil.
4 Remove the secondary paper from the wall, cut out your piece, and insert it into the frame.
5 Use the hanging hardware to carefully place the frame in position over the primary paper.
