lacie golden disk hard drive

blog_harddriveThere are times when a product comes along that I simply must have, regardless of my means of obtaining it. This, ladies and gents, is one of those products. I almost can't deal with how blinged-out and fabulous this external hard drive is (that's right, it's a hard drive). Labeled as the Golden Disk by its makers, LaCie, this powerful data storage device packs a mean punch with 1TB worth of space (for those of you not in the know, that means a 'terabyte' and it converts to being 1000 GB... which is a lot). Forgetting all the technical mumbo-jumbo, can we discuss how it looks? I've never actually yearned to own an external hard drive before, but the glitz and glam of this one makes me a needy gal. With a unique golden wave formation created by world-famous designer Ora-Ito, the hard drive is also fanless so there's no pesky whirring noise whilst in use. Did I mention it's compatible with Macs, too? Don't try to stop me -- I'm already sold. Price: $240 Available at: Lacie.com/ca
