A 5-Day Guide To Getting Ready For Holiday Hosting
Is the house in order? Do you know if anyone is bringing a plus one? Where are the mantel decorations?
We know the holidays can be stressful can be a stressful time—from food prep to fresh sheets to clean appliances, there's so much our brains have to keep track of. Whether you're hosting your relatives this year or planning a dinner, the only way to get through with your spirits still in tact is by starting early.
Here's everything you need to get holiday-ready in the five days leading up to your festivities.
The ultimate 5-day guide to holiday hosting
Day 1: Clean your home for the holidays
It's time to clean and organize your entire home so everyone feels welcome. Start by tackling each level of your home one at a time. Since you have a lot of energy (this is only day one after al), we suggest a full deep clean: vacuum and mop the floors, go into the nooks and crannies that are usually left unchecked throughout the year, get rid of dust bunnies under furniture.
Clean the rooms that get the dirtiest: your kitchen and bathroom. Throw away old products and clear out your pantry.
Don't forget your overlooked household appliances, and give your fridge some love too!

If you haven't decided on your menu yet, now's the time. What will be the main course? The appetizers? The cocktails? Do your grocery shopping before the stores are too packed or run out of that one ingredient you need.
