Before & After: An '80s-Bathroom Reno That Doesn't Lose Its Vintage Charm
A typical 1980s bathroom (with pink fixtures, floor tiles and walls), the primary ensuite was renovated to reflect the homeowners’ love of art and antiques.
As with the rest of the home, wood features prominently here, as does marble and touches of warm colour, for a timeless look that harmonizes the past and the present.

- The focal point of the ensuite, the furniture-style double vanity makes a striking statement. With its leggy design, it echoes the antique cabinet beside the doorway.
- A large shower was added opposite the vanity, bringing both comfort and sleek sophistication.
- While the look has vintage appeal, the layout has been modernized: the former bathtub location was converted into a walk-in closet, and the toilet was relocated to where the shower once stood and is now hidden in a water closet.
