How To Clean Grout
Clean grout can be the difference between tiles looking icky or sparkling.
Tucked between shower and floor tiles, grout can be a magnet for dirt, grime, and bacteria. The filler can be prone to discolouration from bacteria and mould growth.
Luckily, keeping it looking fresh is simple and affordable. Plus, you likely already have these cleaning ingredients in your home.
Here’s the easiest way to clean grout.
How to clean grout
Materials
- A hard-bristled scrub brush, such as a toothbrush
- Baking soda
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Dish soap
- A microfiber cloth
- Water
Steps
1. Mix a paste using two parts baking soda to one part hydrogen peroxide.
2. Apply the paste to your grout, giving it a good scrub with your scrub brush. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.
